All schools need to have policies and procedures in place to help guide the actions of the school community. Our policies aim to ensure the well-being of all pupils, their families, staff, volunteers and everyone who is connected to our wonderful school.

Policies and procedures help new staff and parents to familiarise themselves with our school culture and vision. They give information about what to expect from school life in Scoil Íosagáin in the short and long term.

It is important to remember that all school policies are ‘working’ documents. At Scoil Íosagáin, we review policies regularly to ensure that they meet the evolving needs of our school community.

Our school policies are formulated by the Principal, Deputy Principal and the staff in consultation with parents and then ratified by the Board of Management in consultation with  our Patron, the Department of Education and Skills, INTO and National Education Welfare Board.

Below you will find links to the most relevant school policies. If there is a policy that is not listed below that you would like to read please contact Catherine on 068 27272 or email office@ballybunionprimary.ie
